■  Start by making your skydiving reservation online.

■  Plan to arrive about ten minutes early fill out your paperwork and get ready for your class.  From Traverse City you are 20 minutes from Empire and 50 minutes from Charlevoix.

■  Your class will teach you how to position yourself for freefall and your instructor will help you to the airplane.  Don't go near the propeller!

■  Enjoy an amazing scenic flight with unmatched views with Traverse City, Grand Traverse Bay, and Little Traverse Bay.

■  The door opens up to two miles high and you hear READY, SET, GO! Remember to smile for your 120 mph, and up to 40 second freefall video!

■  When your parachute opens, you feel the wind stop and peacefully fly back to earth with your parachute. Your parachute ride lasts about 4-7 minutes.

■  It generally takes 2-4 hours to complete a class and make your first jump but we may adjust your schedule for weather.

​

■  Tandem skydiving means you are harnessed to a certified skydive instructor and you jump together.

​

■  Traverse City jumpers like to jump at our Empire and Charlevoix locations.   

​

■  You can get certified. Our Accelerated Freefall Program (AFP) prepares you for your first solo dive.

​

■  Advanced divers can practice belly flying, freeflying (vertical flying), skyboarding and even the birdman suit.
